Worktrees

Getting started

Add a project to your local dashboard.

Download Worktrees for Mac and open the app. The published download is for Apple Silicon Macs.

Add a project

  1. Click the Worktrees title at the top left to open settings.
  2. Choose Projects.
  3. Use the macOS folder picker to add a Git project.

The board displays the project’s additional worktrees. If it only has its main checkout, it remains in settings until there is an additional worktree to show.

Read the board

Each project becomes a column. Branch names identify the worktrees, with unique commits and changed files listed underneath.

Remove a project from the dashboard

Open Projects in settings and select the project you want to remove. Confirm the prompt. This removes it from the dashboard without deleting its folder on disk.

Continue with The board.
