Lists and items
Keep the overview simple and the details close.
Lists give related items a home. Items carry the individual tasks and notes you want to return to.
Write clear titles
Use a short title that tells you what the item is about. For a task, start with the action: “Review homepage copy” or “Send the estimate”. Put longer context in the item details.
Open an item for detail
The list is the overview. Open an item to work with its full content, then return to the list to move on to the next piece of work.
Track completion
Mark a task complete when it is finished. A note can remain a reference without needing to become a task. Keep related material together so you can find it again.
A small starting structure
For a project, begin with the next actions and the notes needed to do them. Add more structure when it helps you work, rather than organizing everything in advance.
