Aa documentation

Aa is the text editor in our products. You write Markdown, and Aa sets it as you type. The syntax stays stored, and stays hidden, including while you edit.

What it edits

Headings, nested lists, boxes, quotes, fenced code, dividers, tables, callouts, and toggle headings. Equations use $…$ or a $$ block. Highlight uses ==…==. An image’s alt text is its caption.

Files are the host application’s job. Aa calls onFiles when someone drops or pastes them, and does not upload them itself.
